Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Lappeenranta track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Burning Desire was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Lonely Wind started to galop and lost 30 m.




Golden Magician quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Golden Magician started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




The leader got disturbed by something and Clair De Lune took the lead rather easily.
