The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solvalla this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Opposing Rocket could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Rugged Beard saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Monsieur Parnasse started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Rugged Beard was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Rugged Beard today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Belsõ Rész gallopped for 40 m.



Rugged Beard kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Impress Me won the race after a spectacular finish.
