One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Waldner. High-tech ended up behind the leader. Schneller Singen got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Christoffer Eriksson wanted a little to much in the start and En Garde galoped for 50 m. Björn Goop wanted a little to much in the start and Solid Tango galoped for 50 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Climbing Platinum, Bob's Golden Car, Buisness Or Pleasure, En Garde, Solid Tango, Neverending Story, Manhattan Kid, Lucky Baz.

Lucky Baz looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Bob's Golden Car couldn't come out from behind the leader, Climbing Platinum. En Garde was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Climbing Platinum looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Bob's Golden Car couldn't come out from behind the leader, Waldner.

Manhattan Kid galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.
