One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Stout sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Number Painter started to galop and lost 50 m.

Force De Temps saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

The leader got disturbed by something and Paux took the lead rather easily. Number Painter suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Paux today. It continued in the lead.

Paux didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Number Painter gallopped 10 m after 2000m.

Patrac showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Paux kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Paux kept the speed the whole finish and won before Sweet Dreams Victory and Stout.
