One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Shooting Cube tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Perfect Empire that came steaming ahead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Zwisch De Suite clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop A Red Planet today. It continued in the lead. Shooting Cube started to gallop after 1500m and Dick Sjöberg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Abeille were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Golden Magpie galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

Abeille didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
