One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lone Pirate could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Paris Cocktail started to galop and lost 40 m.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Speedy John sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Speedy John was still in the lead after 1500m.




Speedy John kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Lone Pirate gallopped 50 m after 2000m.




Speedy John seemed to be in good shape this day and continued in the lead.



Speedy John looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Lone Pirate sprinted over the finishline before Speedy John and Paris Cocktail.
