It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Here I'm Go was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Carl-Erik Lindblom wanted a little to much in the start and Keep On Trotting galoped for 50 m. Strong Movement was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Sparrow's Cry was disturbed and galoped 40 m.




Lightspeed looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Modest Autumn couldn't come out from behind the leader, Here I'm Go.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Here I'm Go followed by Keep On Trotting and Strong Movement. Lane two Millennium Melody followed by Lightspeed and Modest Autumn.



driver couldn't keep Keep On Trotting to trotting so they were disqualified. With only a little left of the race Sparrow's Cry galoped for 20 m. Here I'm Go kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Millennium Melody won. Here I'm Go came in second. Lightspeed caught third place.
