It had been raining for several days at Åmål but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Fort Knox tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Single Bet that came steaming ahead. Colorado Box was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Claw quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Rugged Fist who started to galop and lost 20 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Claw was still in the lead after 1500m.

Claw was still in the lead after 2000m.

Claw were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
