Perfect Empire could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Sun Queen was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Fast Connect saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Fast Connect clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Fast Connect followed by Front Boulder and Paux. Lane two Chip Count followed by Happy Night and Booker T.. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Front Boulder gallopped for 30 m.

Front Boulder put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Front Boulder were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Happy Night sprinted over the finishline before Front Boulder and Chip Count.
