The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Lapua this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Good Looking Missile found a gap and took the lead. Vonzac De Souvigne followed before Togge Tuba.




Force Énorme quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Slacker Jack took the lead after 1000m. River Prince didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Slacker Jack followed by Good Looking Missile and Togge Tuba. Lane two Force Énorme followed by Vonzac De Souvigne and River Prince.



With only a little left of the race Starshine Banker galoped for 30 m. Slacker Jack sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Good Looking Missile sprinted over the finishline before Togge Tuba and Force Énorme.
