One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Wandering Cookie could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Bonfree suddenly started to galop. Seppo Markkula had to struggle to get Bonfree to tror again and succeded after 10 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Along Comes Mary, Polished Band, Wocky Rinner, Carlos Rock, Cassio, Wandering Cookie, Killing Me Softly, Bonfree. Killing Me Softly was disturbed and galoped 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Bonfree who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Carlos Rock took the lead after 1000m. Polished Band didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Carlos Rock followed by Cassio and Wocky Rinner. Lane two Polished Band followed by Along Comes Mary and Wandering Cookie. Wandering Cookie showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.



Polished Band was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Cassio suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Carlos Rock sprinted over the finishline before Cassio and Polished Band.
