It had been raining for several days at Lapua but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Bright Idea was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Pointing Gold quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Coughing Feeling took the lead after 1000m. Bright Idea didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Coughing Feeling followed by Miami and Lucky Moon. Lane two Bright Idea followed by Pointing Gold and Wiss Baby.

Coughing Feeling looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Bright Idea, 2 Coughing Feeling, 3 Lucky Moon.
