One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sigue Sigue Sputnik was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Fawltys New Sniper started to galop and lost 30 m.




Fawltys New Sniper quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Fawltys New Sniper clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Fawltys New Sniper followed by Hope Set High and Gentle Giant. Lane two Sigue Sigue Sputnik followed by Claudette and Dingle.




Fawltys New Sniper kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Wondering Lemonade was disturbed and gallopped for 20 m.



Fawltys New Sniper looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Claudette sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
