Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Delightful Samba was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Achcauhtli started to galop and lost 10 m.

Samantha Dryer quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Sweet Tigress was disturbed and galoped 50 m. Smelly Feet galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Samantha Dryer today. It continued in the lead.

Delightful Samba took the lead.

Queen Jessie was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Delightful Samba kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Samantha Dryer sprinted over the finishline before Delightful Samba and Miss Starshine.
