One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Moonbeam Red Planet. Punching Wave ended up behind the leader. Midsummer Magpie got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Punching Wave, Shmohawk, Dreaming Thrasher, Lone Pirate, Moonbeam Red Planet, Fast Ship, Generale Fortuna, Walking Rock. Punching Wave started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Lone Pirate looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Generale Fortuna couldn't come out from behind the leader, Punching Wave.

Generale Fortuna looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Dreaming Thrasher litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Fast Ship made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Lone Pirate.
