One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Fils De Dieu sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Mean Machine sprinted to the front.




Mean Machine was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Mean Machine today. It continued in the lead.



Mean Machine were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
