The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Forus this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

The Lonely Shepherd sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Rugged Night started to galop and lost 20 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Flower Witch sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of The Lonely Shepherd who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Strong Knight sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Strong Knight followed by The Lonely Shepherd and Flower Witch. Lane two Rugged Night followed by Running Action and Power Body.

Strong Knight was still in the lead after 2000m. Matter Of Fact galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Flower Witch was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Strong Knight sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Rod Of Asclepius showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Winner of todays race was Strong Knight. Running Action came in second. Rugged Night became third.
