One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Windy Box found a gap and took the lead. Pointing Diamond followed before Victorious.




Lone Printer quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Happy Diamond took the lead after 1000m. Jumping Work didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Crin Blanc showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Happy Diamond followed by Jumping Work and Windy Box. Lane two Trustworthy Trottin' Troy followed by Victorious and Grasping Gold.



Happy Diamond kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Grasping Gold made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Lone Printer.
