Only a humble breeze blew over Mariehamn this day. The track where in perfect shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Loving Thinker sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Donatello suddenly started to galop. Mauri Jaara had to struggle to get Donatello to tror again and succeded after 20 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Donatello, Sowing Tropic, Big Stereo, Go On Lad, Dance Hall Days, Loving Thinker, Moonlight Girl, Bad Mood Thrasher. Falang started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Moonlight Girl sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Moonlight Girl followed by Big Stereo and Bad Mood Thrasher. Lane two Dance Hall Days followed by Loving Thinker and Falang. Bad Mood Thrasher galloped for 20 m.



Moonlight Girl kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Dance Hall Days galop. Dance Hall Days lost 20 m.




Loving Thinker won. Moonlight Girl came in second. Big Stereo caught third place.
