The sun was shining on Rättvik and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Starlight could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Starlight clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Lieutenant Momentum galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Starlight was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Dead Ship gallopped for 40 m.

Starlight looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Starlight kept the speed the whole finish and won before Freak It Up and Diamond Stone.
