Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Fromage Fromage took the lead after a very quick start. Viking Of Sweden was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.

Great Barrier Magician quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Climbing Rocket took the lead rather easily.

Aja accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Climbing Rocket galloped for 50 m.

Aja didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Castor showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

With only a little left of the race Climbing Rocket galoped for 20 m. Aja kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Fromage Fromage sprinted over the finishline before Aja and Oracle Taboca.
