Captain Palema tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Stopping Closet that came steaming ahead.

This is the positions after 500m. Feeling Lucky, Fast Hero, Baltikum Rīga, Eager To Run, Speedy John, Stopping Closet, Choco Pop, Captain Palema. Captain Palema started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Columbus galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Bold Spring started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Eager To Run looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Stopping Closet couldn't come out from behind the leader, Feeling Lucky. Baltikum Rīga showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Wiglaf galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Feeling Lucky followed by Speedy John and Captain Palema. Lane two Eager To Run followed by Stopping Closet and Choco Pop. Bold Spring started to gallop after 1500m and Stefan Edin had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Eager To Run put some pressure on the leader and could take over. Baltikum Rīga showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Eager To Run looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Stopping Closet won. Eager To Run came in second. Speedy John caught third place.
