One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Fire Cracker could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Flower Ruby quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Fire Cracker who started to galop and lost 50 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Flower Ruby followed by Fast Racer and Honourable Striker. Lane two Fire Cracker followed by Nordic Roughneck and Sir Paul.



Fire Cracker was first on the homestretch followed by Flower Ruby and Fast Racer.

Flower Ruby galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.




Honourable Striker never caught up with Fire Cracker who won. Fast Racer came third.
