One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Urtado could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Strong Love, Urtado, Platinum Missile, Flying Squirrel, Touch Down, Running Free, Galant Nero, Turn Me Down. Turn Me Down showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Platinum Missile looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Flying Squirrel couldn't come out from behind the leader, Strong Love.

Winner of todays race was Strong Love. Running Free came in second. Flying Squirrel became third.
