The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Kaukonen this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Engel Risse was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Knockout Wood quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Knockout Wood started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Knockout Wood was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Fracas was disturbed and galoped 10 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Knockout Wood today. It continued in the lead.



Knockout Wood looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Engel Risse made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Knockout Wood.
