The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Street Fighting Man was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Empire Hills suddenly started to galop. Bo Falsig had to struggle to get Empire Hills to tror again and succeded after 30 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Salty Sailor never caught up with Street Fighting Man who won. Empire Hills came third.
