The weather had been good all week and Kaustinen was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Heavy Printer took the lead after a very quick start.




Pass The Bar quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Shooting Platinum was disturbed and galoped 50 m. A bird flew just in front of Big Star who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Lucious sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Lucious was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Pass The Bar gallopped for 50 m.



Lucious was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Big Star was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Lucious looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Heavy Printer won the race after a spectacular finish.
