Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Solvalla track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Chien De Guerre. Seront Reconnaître ended up behind the leader. Vagabond got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

Trade Mark quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Seront Reconnaître showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Ragazzo Bellissimo started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Monte Carlo sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Vagabond suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.

Geodude saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Trade Mark gallopped for 40 m. Seront Reconnaître started to gallop after 1500m and Hans-Åke Johansson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Monte Carlo seemed to be in top-form this day and took over the lead.

Monte Carlo looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Calming Angel won the race after a spectacular finish.
