The weather had been good all week and Dannero was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Vend-a-face found a gap and took the lead. Perfect Thought followed before Jolly Sun.




Vend-a-face was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




Perfect Thought looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Grasping Pie couldn't come out from behind the leader, Vend-a-face.




Vend-a-face was still in the lead after 1500m. driver couldn't keep Perfect Thought to trotting so they were disqualified.



Vend-a-face sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Vend-a-face didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
