The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Rättvik this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Punching Rocker could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Backstabbing Twister sprinted to the front.




Higher Ground looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Forever Young couldn't come out from behind the leader, Backstabbing Twister.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Backstabbing Twister today. It continued in the lead. Punching Rocker started to gallop after 1500m and Claes Eskilsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Forever Young started to gallop after 1500m and Erik Lindegren had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Backstabbing Twister sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Polished Frenzy won the race after a spectacular finish.
