The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Air On Mars could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Made In France, Losing Winner, Woolie, Påarps Alfred, Monsieur Du Dijon, Air On Mars, Luna Piena, Lapsi Kokea.




Monsieur Du Dijon looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Air On Mars couldn't come out from behind the leader, Made In France. Lapsi Kokea galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m.




Air On Mars accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Luna Piena was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Air On Mars looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Air On Mars kept the speed the whole finish and won before Monsieur Du Dijon and Lapsi Kokea.
