One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Whatever Tropic could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Dream Away Glory started to galop and lost 30 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Waving Thinker, Eindringlich Nachrichten, Guardian Of Asgaard, Whatever Tropic, Lord Tristan, Wandering Daffodil, Dream Away Glory, Skip James.




Guardian Of Asgaard took the lead after 1000m. Whatever Tropic didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Lord Tristan galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m. driver couldn't keep Waving Thinker to trotting so they were disqualified.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Guardian Of Asgaard followed by Wandering Daffodil and Lord Tristan. Lane two Whatever Tropic followed by Dream Away Glory and Eindringlich Nachrichten.



Guardian Of Asgaard galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Wandering Daffodil was first on the homestretch followed by Whatever Tropic and Dream Away Glory.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Wandering Daffodil galop. Wandering Daffodil lost 20 m.




Dream Away Glory sprinted over the finishline before Whatever Tropic and Lord Tristan.
