It had been raining for several days at Kajaani but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Count My Steps found a gap and took the lead. North Baracuda followed before Ghostly Wardrobe.

Go Sunshine saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Shellbark Hickory took the lead after 1000m. North Baracuda didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Shellbark Hickory galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Shellbark Hickory today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Scorpio gallopped for 50 m.

Shellbark Hickory sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Ghostly Wardrobe galop. Ghostly Wardrobe lost 20 m.

Shellbark Hickory didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
