The sun was shining on Åby today. A perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Christmas Surprise could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Super Bananaphone was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Neckbreaker quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Shooting Bear sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. driver couldn't keep Time Warner to trotting so they were disqualified.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Shooting Bear followed by Cosmos and Time To Chill. Lane two Les Meilleur followed by Happy Behemoth and Dead Architecture. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Punching Pirate gallopped for 40 m.

With only a little left of the race Time Warner galoped for 50 m. Shooting Bear were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Super Bananaphone was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Peter Untersteiner tried a little too much on the homestretch and Christmas Surprise started to galopp and lost 40 m. Neckbreaker galoped for 60m and was disqualified.

Dead Architecture won the race after a spectacular finish.
