One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Special George found a gap and took the lead. Moonlight Glittering followed before Crazy Girl.

Moonlight Glittering was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. A bird flew just in front of Moonlight Glittering who started to galop and lost 20 m.

Special George kept the speed the whole finish and won before Moonlight Glittering and Big Star.
