The weather had been good all week and Lieksa was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

The Classic could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m. wanted a little to much in the start and Unknown galoped for 50 m. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 30 m. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified.

Crossing Feeling quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Whispering Thought took the lead rather easily. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Whispering Thought followed by The Classic and Skipping Heat. Lane two Dublin Disco Dancer followed by Tripping Cake and Gardens of Eden. Unknown galloped for 30 m. Unknown galloped for 50 m.

Skipping Heat put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Tripping Cake suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Blackbird galop. Blackbird lost 40 m.

Skipping Heat never caught up with Tripping Cake who won. Whispering Thought came third.
