Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Axevalla track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rugged Map could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Loving Diamond saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Jack Gibraltar who started to galop and lost 50 m.




Loving Diamond was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Loving Diamond followed by Rugged Map and Holly Bird Eleven. Lane two Dead Beard followed by Delirium and Jack Gibraltar.




Loving Diamond kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Loving Diamond was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Dead Beard suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Delirium won the race after a spectacular finish.
