The weather had been good all week and Kaukonen was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Luxus Lloyd could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 20 m. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 50 m.

Præge Jeres quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Punching Devil started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Pinstripe´s California Dream sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Pinstripe´s California Dream galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.

Kaarlo Ahokas tried a little too much on the homestretch and Bang Your Head started to galopp and lost 40 m.

Præge Jeres sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
