The weather had been good all week and Färjestad was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Glory Flame could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Roman Empire was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.




Les Équitable Choix was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Glory Flame galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Laissez-faire today. It continued in the lead.



Laissez-faire kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Laissez-faire didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
