One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Screaming Printer took the lead after a very quick start. Let Me Go was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Famous Top, Screaming Printer, Let Me Go, Wondering Peach, Tarmac, Mépris, Willie Wizard, Lyst Baldame. Ghosthunter started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Newport who started to galop and lost 30 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Wondering Peach accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Tarmac showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Famous Top speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Screaming Printer, 2 Famous Top, 3 Wondering Peach.
