It had been raining for several days at Kouvola but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Baby Love could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Lone Power quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Lightning Fire who started to galop and lost 30 m.




Baby Love sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m. Unknown galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.



With only a little left of the race Unknown galoped for 30 m. Baby Love was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Baby Love sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Jan Norberg tried a little too much on the homestretch and Pommard started to galopp and lost 20 m. Red Instinct showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




No-one could catch Baby Love today who won before Like A Cat and Stifling Wind.
