One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Base Election could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 30 m. Ginger Rose started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Saint-Étienne clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. driver couldn't keep Unknown to trotting so they were disqualified. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Saint-Étienne followed by Base Election and Caen Diplomat. Lane two Fortran followed by Flying Star and Relax. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Unknown gallopped for 20 m.




Fortran put some pressure on the leader and could take over.



Fortran kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Prima Bekæmpelser galoped way to long and was disqualified. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Relax galop. Relax lost 20 m.




Fortran didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
