One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Blue Piper could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Eclipse was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. When the startcar left the field Blue Piper started to galop and lost 20 m.




Eclipse was in fine shape and held the lead. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 10 m.




Radiating Pie looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Helpful Rocket couldn't come out from behind the leader, Roi De Pique.




Running Boulder was still in the lead after 1500m. Unknown galloped for 10 m.



Grand Royal K. was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Running Boulder looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Blue Piper didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
