The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Karlshamn this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Race Me.
King Of Gold ended up behind the leader.
Le Mans Racer got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Johnny Takter wanted a little to much in the start and Sweeper galoped for 40 m.
Stopping
Blast saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.
The leader got disturbed by something and
King Of Gold took the lead rather easily. driver couldn't keep
Stopping
Blast to trotting so they were disqualified.
Twelve Bar Blues suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one
King Of Gold followed by
Le Mans Racer and
Sweeper. Lane two
Race Me followed by
Jumping
Sunflower and
Knight Of Sunrise.
Blackout started to gallop after 1500m and Jorma Kontio had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Race Me suddenly took over the lead.
Sweeper was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. With only a little left of the race
Jumping
Sunflower galoped for 40 m.
Race Me kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Winner of todays race was
Race Me.
Le Mans Racer came in second.
King Of Gold became third.
