One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Daffodil. Unknown was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified. wanted a little to much in the start and Unknown galoped for 40 m. When the startcar left the field Unknown started to galop and lost 0 m.
The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

News looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Pinstripe´s Bacardi couldn't come out from behind the leader,

Cruiser. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Cruiser didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Unknown was disturbed and gallopped for 30 m.

Cruiser sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Caesar Cerf galopped for 50 m on the homestretch. Unknown tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Caesar Cerf started to galopp and lost 40 m.

Cruiser didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
