One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Duc D'aquitaine could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Confident Wolf galloped way to long and was disqualified. Butterfly Player suddenly started to galop. Jim Oscarsson had to struggle to get Butterfly Player to tror again and succeded after 30 m.

L'Étoile Mystérieuse was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop L'Étoile Mystérieuse today. It continued in the lead. Unknown galloped for 10 m. Ladies Night galloped for 40 m.

With only a little left of the race Ladies Night galoped for 40 m. L'Étoile Mystérieuse were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Night And Day never caught up with Duc D'aquitaine who won. L'Étoile Mystérieuse came third.
