One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Candlenut could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




True Glory was in fine shape and held the lead.




Callowhill Sue was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Candlenut followed by Epona and Flower Love. Lane two Callowhill Sue followed by True Glory and .



Candlenut were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Candlenut didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
