One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Shining Queen. Perfect Diamond ended up behind the leader. September Night got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Perfect Diamond saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Shining Queen galloped way to long and was disqualified. Clever Bullet was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Unitras showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Perfect Diamond was still in the lead after 1500m.




Perfect Diamond didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Clever Bullet speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Powerful Boulder made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Clever Bullet.
