The weather had been good all week and Haapajärvi was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Regrette Rien could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Markku Nieminen wanted a little to much in the start and Regrette Rien galoped for 10 m.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Blue Diamond sprinted to the front.




Travelling Twister sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Regrette Rien accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Travelling Twister started to gallop after 1500m and Tuomas Pakkanen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Regrette Rien sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Singing Forest gallopped 20 m after 2000m.



Regrette Rien looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Coughing Moment to trotting so they were disqualified.




Tripping Red sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
