It had been raining for several days at Berlin but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Amsterdam took the lead after a very quick start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Amsterdam started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Light Autumn who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Darth Vader looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Fawltys Sniper couldn't come out from behind the leader, Prince Spicy.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Beautiful Dream today. It continued in the lead. Cute Ruby started to gallop after 1500m and Heinz Wewering had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Beautiful Dream looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Darth Vader kept the speed the whole finish and won before Thunder Fighter and Beautiful Dream.
